Helicopter transport company in Southeast manages vehicles with Encompass

A helicopter transport company in the Southeast requested a phone call from J. J. Keller’s Business Development team to address some compliance concerns. The Fleet Manager needed to address the possible risk and exposure due to non-compliant drivers as well as the need for a better program to manage and track the transport company’s fleet of cars, pick-up trucks, box vans and fuel trucks. Keller’s Business Development rep conveyed the situation to J. J. Keller’s Account Executive in the Southeast. The Fleet Manager agreed to a meeting to further discuss his compliance concerns.

During the meeting, the Fleet Manager shared that his responsibility has recently expanded to include much more of the company’s DOT compliance. The Fleet Manager wanted an "ala carte" tool to bring compliance programs together. The Account executive presented Encompass. J. J. Keller’s ASP Sales Support Manager populated the vehicle data and attachments from the transport company into Encompass to help the Fleet Manager see the capability of Encompass. After the presentation, the Fleet Manager requested a contract for Encompass.

Then disaster struck. Hurricane Ike destroyed a major terminal of the transport company in Texas and Hurricane Gustav created minor flooding at the transport company’s headquarters. The company’s focus quickly turned to their employees and keeping them out of the hurricane’s path. Once the transport company was able to get the recovery process in full swing, the Fleet Manager contacted Keller’s Account Executive to confirm the decision to move forward with Encompass.
